One of the best Boy Scout camps in the United States is Camp Geronimo
Camp Geronimo is located north of Payson, Arizona, in the shadows of the magnificent Mogollon Rim. It’s surrounded by over 5,000 acres of ponderosa pine forest, trails lead from camp to the top of the rim where Scouts can stand at the very edge of the Colorado Plateau.
This is a destination summer camp, attracting scout troops from across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan.
The proximity to major highways, interstates and Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport (1.75 hours from the camp) make this scout camp a popular location for Boy Scout Troops from California, Nevada, Utah, Texas, and Colorado.
