Andy Price Delivers State of the Council Address
In 2019, surrounded by the towering pines of Camp Geronimo in Payson, Arizona, Scout Executive Andy Price delivered an impactful “State of the Council” address to a gathering of troop leaders and volunteers. His message reflected on the achievements of the past year. Additionally, it addressed the evolving landscape of Scouting. He laid out a clear and hopeful vision for the future of youth leadership and character development.
The setting—Camp Geronimo, one of Arizona’s most iconic and historic Scout camps—provided the perfect backdrop for a conversation centered on tradition, resilience, and growth. Attendees looked out over the rugged Mogollon Rim terrain. They were reminded of the foundational values. These values continue to shape young leaders across generations.
KB Woods Public Relations was on-site to capture this important moment on video. Through our lens, we documented not just a speech, but a call to action. It was an affirmation of the vital role that Scouting plays in preparing youth for lives of purpose, service, and leadership.
Andy Price’s remarks highlighted the council’s ongoing initiatives. These include program innovation and expanded access to outdoor adventure. Also, there is a focus on increasing diversity and deepening community partnerships. His forward-thinking leadership emphasized the importance of adapting. He stressed staying true to the core principles that make Scouting a transformative experience.
For troop leaders, volunteers, parents, and Scouts alike, the event served as a rallying point. It reaffirmed the strength of the movement and inspired renewed commitment to its mission.
