In 2016, KB Woods had the opportunity to create a highlight video for an event that blended legal ethics with Las Vegas history. The video, now a cherished throwback, captured the “Entertaining Ethics” seminar at the Mob Museum. It featured the former Las Vegas mayor and renowned defense attorney, Oscar Goodman.
The event, held on February 23, 2016, was more than just a seminar. It was an engaging mix of legal education and social interaction at a museum steeped in Las Vegas stories and history. The seminar provided legal professionals with invaluable ethics training, ending with a social event and a tour of the Mob Museum.
Goodman, a Philadelphia native, graduated from Haverford College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He gained recognition as one of America’s top trial lawyers, defending a list of reputed mobsters. His first federal case was tried in the very building that now houses the Mob Museum, making his return to speak there particularly meaningful.
Our video from this event not only highlighted Goodman’s captivating presence and speech but also the unique atmosphere of the Mob Museum. Moreover, for Bank of Nevada, sponsoring this event with the Nevada Bar Association was a blend of education, history, and community involvement.
