Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame Goes Virtual | KB Woods Produces Streaming Event for Online and Ch. 11 Broadcast

Phoenix & Tempe, AZ | Virtual Events, Public Relations, Women’s History

As the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped the way organizations gather and celebrate, KB Woods Public Relations stepped in. They helped Arizona’s most prestigious recognition of women’s leadership move forward—virtually.

Today, the Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame hosted its 2020 Virtual Induction Celebration, a dynamic, pre-recorded program produced by KB Woods and streamed online and on City of Phoenix Channel 11. This marks the 13th virtual awards show the firm has produced or is currently producing through the end of 2020.

Honoring Remarkable Women in Arizona History

Since its founding in 1981 by the Office of the Governor and the Arizona Women’s Commission, the Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame has recognized extraordinary women. These women have shaped the state’s past, present, and future. This year’s celebration continued that tradition while adapting to the realities of a global health crisis.

The 2020 inductees include a mix of Living Legacy honorees and Legacy inductees. Each woman leaves a profound mark on Arizona through service, leadership, and advocacy.

2020 Living Legacy Inductees:

  • Betsey Bayless
  • Jana Bommersbach
  • Michele Halyard
  • Karrin Taylor Robson
  • Catherine Steele

2020 Legacy Inductees:

  • Betty Fairfax
  • Jean Fairfax
  • Gracia Liliana Fernandez
  • Pauline O’Neill
  • Carolyn Warner

Produced for Broadcast at Historic Arizona Locations

To bring the celebration to life, the KB Woods video team filmed at two iconic Valley locations. These were The Marilyn in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix, home to the firm’s creative offices, and the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park in Tempe.

Under the leadership of Keith Woods as producer, director, and narrator, the team captured compelling interviews. They also recorded tribute segments honoring each inductee. Anthony Canales served as editor and photographer, while Max Woods contributed additional photography support.

The final production was designed not only to celebrate these women but also to ensure viewers across the state could engage safely. Viewers could do this from their homes or devices.
